Society and emotions

This piece explores an extension of myself in moments of emotional distress, where impulsivity and insecurity take over. By letting the clay guide my creation, I wanted to represent this loss of control. The glaze of this piece contains lithium, used in treatment to prevent depressive relapses, and copper, a malleable metal symbolizing vulnerability and the influence of the surroundings.
The pig’s head at the top symbolizes a society dominated by money and control, seeking to confine us into boxes.
